Architecture & Design

We are often asked to get involved in a redevelopment project long after initial designs and plans have been created and planning achieved. Whilst we are happy to get involved at any point in your project, it is at this preliminary stage where we feel we can add significant value, particularly as agreements reached at this stage can have the biggest overall impact on the cost of your redevelopment project.

There are many ways of achieving project goals, and understanding them at this initial stage will ensure that Chris, our award winning Senior Architect, and the rest of the Snowdon James design team can feed into these plans with ideas and suggestions that will get you as close as possible to your dream home, whilst maintaining budget integrity at every stage.

If we receive your instruction at the outset of the project we will ensure that every space within your new home is carefully considered. Chris will then create a full set of plans and CAD drawings for you to review, and once agreed , Snowdon James will submit these plans to your local planning office on your behalf.

You should be aware that it is not always necessary to have planning approval, as many house redevelopment projects can be achieved via the permitted development process. At Snowdon James we have previously worked with homeowners to achieve their vision using the permitted development process only, as using the planning permission route would have presented a number of challenges to overcome and which would have, ultimately, delayed their project significantly.
